This citywide contest judges all houses that are lit up for the holidays. Every decorated house is automatically entered in the contest. Judging takes place during the second week of December. Judges ask that residents please turn on your porch lights so that they can read the house number. Winners are chosen from each ward, and prize plaques are awarded at a City Council meeting in January.
