Planning on being out of the area on May 7, the date of Hyattsville's municipal election, but still want to have an impact on local politics? Then you'll need an absentee ballot.
Absentee ballot request forms are available from the Hyattsville city clerk. Applications turned in after May 1 must be picked up in person from the Hyattsville Municipal Building. Voters have until 10 a.m. on May 6 to file for an absentee ballot, less than a day before the election.
