Adelphi Man Tells Police Burglars Stole His Weed

Three masked men stole marijuana, a car and other property from an Adelphi man, according to police.

An Adelphi man called 911 at 1 p.m. Monday, saying that he woke up to find an armed man entering his room asking for his money and drugs, according to a Prince George's Police 911 recording.

"He took my weed and took my rent money," the victim is recorded telling police.

Three masked men entered an unlocked home at 8311 Curry Place, according to Officer Iris Borrero with the Prince George's Police. Two men were inside the home, Borrero said. One of them reported that in addition to taking his marijuana they took around $500 to $600.

The suspects also demanded the victim's keys and took his 2003 silver Honda, a laptop, and some cell phones, according to police. The victim's license plate is MD 1AA9783, Borrero said.

No one was injured and no charges have been made against the man who reported his marijuana stolen, according to Cpl. Mike Rodriguez with the Prince George's police.
