Six people were struck by a car in the Hyattsville Home Depot parking lot Thursday, and one of them has died, according to Hyattsville City Police.
The victim, 41-year-old Fredys Castillo-Giron, was one of seven people hospitalized after the crash, including the driver, according to WJLA.
Police said the driver, who is in his 60s, was leaving the parkng lot when he suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his car, veering into a concrete island and striking the six people.
The crash is still under investigation, police said.
