The fire originated in a bedroom of a single-family, single-story home on Sheridan Street.

Prince George’s County firefighters quickly extinguished a fire Sunday afternoon in a single-family house in the 700 block of Sheridan Street in Chillum, Prince George’s County Fire Department Chief Spokesperson Mark Brady reported.

Smoke was coming out of the home, when fire officials arrived at the scene. The fire originated in the bedroom of the one-story house, Brady reported on the county fire department's blog.

No injuries have been reported, although the residents may be displaced, Brady added.

The fire’s cause is currently undetermined.
