County Police Investigating Lewisdale Murder

Local man fatally shot early Sunday morning.

 

County police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a 20-year-old Lewisdale man early Sunday morning two blocks from his home. 

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, at 1:25 a.m. on Nov. 11, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Charleston Place and Drexel Street in the Chillum neighborhood of Lewisdale to investigate a reported shooting. When they arrived on the scene, police discovered Edwin Alexander Lainez-Noyola suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Lainez-Noyola, a resident of the 7300 block of 23rd Avenue, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. 

Police are asking anyone with information which could help identify a suspect in Lainez-Noyola's murder to contact the Prince George's County Police Department's homicide unit at 301-772-4925 or call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477. You can also submit information anonymously over the phone by sending a text message to the number 274637 (CRIMES) or over the internet at the county police website.
