DeMatha Ruggers Blast By Eleanor Roosevelt

Yesteday in Riverdale Park, the DeMatha Catholic High School rugby team topped Metro Area Varsity Rugby Conference opponent Eleanor Roosevelt High School 36-0, scoring six tries–three in each half–and making three conversions.

Eugene Beckton led the way for the Stags, scoring three tries for the hat trick. Alex Johnson scored two tries and Darian Strachan scored one. 

The DeMatha rugby team improves to 3-0 on the season, while Eleanor Roosevelt drops to 0-2.
