Update: Police Identify District Heights Shooting Victim as District Heights Man
Police are seeking information about a fatal shooting on Silver Hill Road.

Update, Jan. 25: Police have identified the victim of the county's 15th 2011 homicide as 34-year-old Mckinney Antonio White, Jr., of the 6800 block of Atwood Street in District Heights.
Original Post, Jan. 24: Police are at the scene of a fatal shooting at the 5700 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights. the county's 15th homicide this year.
Cpl. Larry Johnson, spokesman for the Prince George's County Police, said police arrived on the scene about 5 p.m. and found a man who was shot in the head. The victim was later pronounced dead.
No further information is currently available, Johnson said.
On January 24, 2011 at approximately 5:01 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 5700 block of Silver Hill Road for the report of a shooting. When patrol officers arrived, they discovered 34 year old Mckinney Antonio White, Jr., of the 6800 block of Atwood Street in District Heights, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene
This is the county's 15th homicide of the year.
