It's supposed to be a scorcher today, Hyattsville! Here's today's five things you need to know:

2. A Magruder Park beaver appears to have been poached for his pelt. The city reports that M-NCPPC tried to stem flooding in the area by cutting a hole into an existing beaver dam in the park.
