Heavy Traffic Expected Near UMd. for HS Graduations
Prince George's County students are preparing for graduation next week, several of whom will receive their diplomas at the Comcast Center.
Area residents will want to be aware of heavy traffic due to the ceremonies, running from Tuesday to Friday, according to a message distributed by the UMd. Office of the President.
“Traffic will be heaviest at the Campus Drive/Route One, and Paint Branch Drive/Route 193 intersections. Incoming traffic prior to each ceremony, and departing traffic following each ceremony, will be particularly heavy,” according to the announcement, which was shared on the Riverdale Park listserve TownTalk.
Parking for the commencements will be in surface lots surrounding Comcast Center.
