Hyattsville Carnival Flies By in Time Lapse
Thousands of images combine to form speedy audio-visual keepsake from a festive, explosive weekend at Magruder Park.
Hyattsville Patch Local Editor Michael Theis spent hours gathering more than 17,000 photographs to produce this stunning time lapse video showing you some of the sights and sounds from the 126th Hyattsville Anniversary Carnival held at Magruder Park this past weekend.
Those 17,000 shots ended up making about 19 minutes of video, then edited down to the three minutes presented here. The music you hear is the Northwestern High School Marching Band as they near the grandstand during the parade on Saturday morning.
The carnival itself was pretty much what you might expect. Good food (the handmade pupusas were a crowd favorite), decent entertainment options and more excellent weather than you could shake a stick at.
Hoep you enjoy the video, and we hope you enjoyed the carnival as well.
