HYATTSVILLE CITY POLICE CRIME REPORT - WEEK OF OCTOBER 14, 2012
Oct. 14, 2012: VANDALISM, 5600 blk 37th Avenue: sometime between 10-13-12 and this date, someone used a BB gun to damage the glass in the rear door of a residence in this area.
Oct. 14 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 4:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.
Oct. 15, 2012: THEFT FROM AUTO, 5700 blk 43rd Avenue: sometime during the night, someone broke into a vehicle parked in this area, removed property, and scratched sides of the vehicle.
Oct. 15, 2012: VANDALISM TO AUTO, 3500 blk Madison Street: sometime during the night, someone broke out the windshield of a vehicle parked in this area.
Oct. 15, 2012: BURGLARY, 2600 blk Kirkwood Place: sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., someone broke into an apartment in this area and removed property.
Oct. 16, 2012: ROBBERY, 31st Avenue & Lancer Drive: at approximately 9:45 p.m., two unknown suspects approached the victim as he walked in this area. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a handgun, knocking him to the ground. The suspects stole property from the victim, and fled.
Oct. 17, 2012: THEFT FROM AUTO, 6000 blk 37th Avenue: sometime during the night, someone entered a vehicle parked in this area and removed property.
Oct. 17, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 12:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.
Oct. 17, 2012: VEHICLE THEFT, 6500 blk Belcrest Road: sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., someone stole a 2000 Dodge Neon that had been parked in this area.
Oct. 17, 2012: BURGLARY, 2900 blk Nicholson Street: sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., someone broke into an apartment in this area and removed property.
Oct. 17, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 6:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.
Oct. 18, 2012: ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFT, 2700 blk Nicholson Street: sometime during the night, someone broke into a vehicle parked in this area and damaged its ignition in an apparent attempt to steal it.
Oct. 18, 2012: VANDALISM TO AUTO, 2900 blk Belcrest Center Drive: sometime during the night, someone broke out the rear passenger side window of a vehicle parked in this area.
Oct. 18, 2012: THEFT FROM AUTO, 6000 blk 44th Avenue: at approximately 5:30 a.m., an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle parked in this area and removed property.
Oct. 18, 2012: BURGLARY, 5800 blk 30th Avenue: sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., someone broke into a residence in this area and removed property.
Oct. 18, 2012: VEHICLE THEFT, 3500 blk Manorwood Drive: at approximately 9:15 p.m., someone stole a 1997 Mercedes from the driveway of a residence in this area.
Oct. 18, 2012: DRUG ARREST, 6500 blk Belcrest Road: at approximately 9:45 p.m., three suspects were arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Oct. 19, 2012: THEFT FROM AUTO, 4000 blk Hamilton Street: sometime during the night, someone stole the validation sticker from the license plate of a vehicle parked in this area.
Oct. 19, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 3:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.
Oct. 19, 2012: THEFT FROM AUTO, 5500 blk 45th Avenue: sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., someone broke into a vehicle parked in this area and removed property.
Oct. 19, 2012: ROBBERY, 2600 blk Kirkwood Place: at approximately 4:00 p.m., the victim was approached by an unknown suspect who demanded his phone and wallet.
Oct. 19, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 8:15 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.
Oct. 20, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown suspect approached the victim as he walked in front of the mall, grabbed the bank deposit bag he was carrying, and fled west on East West Highway.
Oct. 20, 2012: THEFT, 3500 blk East West Highway: at approximately 1:30 p.m., a suspect was arrested for shoplifting from a store in the mall.

Would anyone be able to tell me what the "others" designation represents? Is this violent crime such as an assault?
