Greenbelt's Buddy Attick Lake is swelling during Hurricane Irene on Aug. 27, 2011.
The rain started in Hyattsville around 11 a.m. on Aug. 27, 2011, as the effects of Hurricane Irene began to affect the D.C. metro area.
Between move-in day traffic at the University of Maryland and the rain from Tropical Storm Irene, traffic in College Park proved to be particularly difficult Saturday.
