Locals Set to Fete Hyattsville Library

Organizers hope Friends of the Hyattsville Library Day is first in annual series.

The Friends of the Hyattsville Branch, a group of local library lovers, will be hosting a celebration of the Hyattsville Library on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will take place, naturally, at the Hyattsville Library on 6532 Adelphi Road in Hyattsville.

Activities planned for the event include a book sale, bands and an open mic, children's storytime, face painting, community vendors and a "stump the librarian" game, where we can finally get a chance to show those librarians who's boss.

The event is still looking for volunteers. If interested, send an email to the library friends here.
