The Mall at Prince George's in Hyattsville has been closed today as a result of Hurricane Sandy, according to a press release sent out just before noon.

"Due to inclement weather, The Mall at Prince Georges in Hyattsville, MD will be closed to the public on October 29," reads the press release. "This decision has been made in order to ensure the safety of our shoppers and employees during the hurricane."

But one store at the mall, Target, remains open "until the storm shuts us down", according to a receptionist at the Hyattsville store.

The Mall at Prince George's will be posting updates on Twitter and Facebook as the storm progresses.
