Severe Storm Watch Issued for Prince George's
Storms bring damage along a line stretching from Oklahoma to upstate New York.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Prince George's County and surrounding areas. The watch is in effect until 1 a.m.
According to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the NWS, scattered thunderstorms are possible this evening throughout the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas. The storms could generate strong winds and hail.
Tonight's weather is associated with a line of severe thunderstorms that are sweeping eastward across the nation. Severe Thunderstorm Watches and Warnings stretch northeast across the country from the Oklahoma and Arkansas border to to New York and central Massachusetts.
