Water Main Break Floods Adelphi Roadways

The Prince George's County Fire Department responds to the scene of a water main break in Adelphi Saturday evening.
The break flooded portions of Chatham Road, Adelphi Court and Cool Spring Road.
Heavy flooding made it difficult for cars to pass through the affected roadways.
No roads were closed, but the fire department notified the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission of the break.

A water main break Saturday evening shortly before 6 p.m. flooded portions of Adelphi Court, Chatham Road and Cool Spring Road, just northwest of the University of Maryland.

Firefighters responded as Patch was on the scene and notified the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission of the break. There were no road closures, but the water flow was affecting traffic.

More information wasn't immediately available from the Prince George's County Fire Department or WSSC.
