WCAC Lax Championship Postponed

Gloomy weather delays DeMatha, Gonzaga title game in College Park.

Tonight's Washington Catholic Athletic Conference lacrosse championship game between DeMatha and Gonzaga has been postponed until Wednesday on account of the weather, according to a message from school officials.

The game will still take place at Ludwig Field, and the game time is still 7 p.m.

For local DeMatha alumni, this could present a bit of a scheduling conflict.

"It just so happens that the DeMatha Alumni Association is planning on holding its Speaker Series on Wednesday Night featuring Joe McCann '86 and Kevin Davis '87 of the Prince George's County Police Department, along with Mike McQuillan '69, a retired member of PGCPD," according to an email from DeMatha.

The speaker series event will still be held as scheduled. School officials say that score updates will be provided throughout the event. Once the speeches conclude, the game will be webcast into the auditorium for attendees to view.
