Weekend Begins With Flash Flood Watch
Afternoon and evening storms could bring a lot of rain in areas.
Ahead of a storm system predicted to bring heavy rains to the area, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect for Prince George's County until 11 p.m. tonight.
The NWS is predicting scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the area. Forecasts warn of widespread heavy rains of up to one to two inches per hour throughout the afternoon and evening. This deluge could cause local waterways to rise quickly.
But at least it's not hot, right?
