DESCRIPTION:Do you have an interest in Jewish history? Perhaps you wonder
  where the ancient Hebrews came from? Or how Jews ended up in Ethiopia? 
 Or when they came to America? If you do\, this class\, which I'll be off
 ering at my home in University Park\, might be just what you're looking 
 for. I'm going to cover Jewish history from its beginnings through the p
 resent day\, so the term "crash course" is appropriate. The approach wil
 l be academic\, not religious. It'll run for 6 sessions\, beginning May 
 9 and continuing on the following Wednesdays through June 13. Class time
  will be from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.&nbsp\; Folks are welcome to come to
  socialize at 7:00. If you're interested but don't want to leave your ch
 ildren home alone to do homework\, we'll have space where they can sit a
 nd work quietly.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;There will be a modest enrollment fee for 
 the classes - $5 per session\, $25 for the entire class. The class is of
 fered in cooperation with DC-based Cong. Bet Mishpachah (I'm rabbi emeri
 tus) as a service to members who live in the Maryland suburbs. Fees of c
 ongregants will be covered by the congregation. It's also offered in coo
 peration with the Jewish Study Center of Washington as an experiment in
