More About Town of University Park
The town office is located in a residential area and is adjacent to the University Park Police Department. The town has about 2,500 residents, mostly college employees, professors and academics, and is a community made up of about one thousand single-family homes. Although it is located in the northern part Prince George's County adjacent to the University of Maryland, University Park has a small-town vibe.
The town is divided into seven wards, and each ward has a representative on the local council. Mayor John Rogard Tabori oversees the council.
University Park was recently named as the best place to live in Prince George's County by Washingtonian Magazine for the second year in a row.

University Park is the best town in the state. I can't wait until I can sell my property in cp and buy in UP. The mayor is doing a great job and actually has a brain. Wonder if any CP citizens would try to figure out why UP was named as the best place to live by PG 2 years in a row. No cp?

Ha! The mayor of UP is doing a great job and has a brain? This about sums up your intelligence for me.

Jon,
instead of ALWAYS being negative, why don't you look for the positive in things: http://collegepark.patch.com/articles/college-park-named-best-place-to-raise-your-kids-in-maryland

Jon-You're comment about the mayor of UP clearly reaffirms your ignorance that many have had the displeasure of encountering through your seemingly endless posts/comments. As someone who has lived in UP for the majority of my life and personally knows their mayor "who actually has a brain," you may want to re-consider your typically uninformed statement. Once again, it is clear that you just continually make comments either because you have absolutely no life or to just stir the pot, or both. Do you find it odd that other CP landlords have not taken to your defense but rather have actually come out against your naive, hurtful banter. I think it speaks less to your points/"facts" regarding the issues and more to people not wanting to be associated with a bitter, clown of a man. Oh and before you say it again, yes...I do resort sometimes to name calling but trust me, I am truly biting my tongue with you sir. Get a life and some sort of hold on reality. Let me know if, more likely, when you need referrals to some helpful addiction/mental health treatment centers in the area or nationwide. Hope to see you at the town council meeting tomorrow night. Take care. Peace and Love!
