5 Things You Need to Know Today - Rain, the Fair and Football

More rain is expected today, the Prince George's County Fair kicks off, and so does the NFL football season.

Here are five important things to know for September 8, 2011:

1. Rain, rain, rain – The National Weather Service is predicting showers with thunderstorms also possible in the afternoon. New rainfall is estimated between a quarter and half of an inch.

2. The Prince George’s County Fair begins today at 4 p.m. at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center and Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro. Despite the rain, P.G. residents come out and have a good time.
