Anacostia Watershed Society-Invasive Plant Removal Volunteer Event

Since 1989, The Anacostia Watershed Society has been working to make the Anacostia River swimmable, fishable and beautiful for everyone to enjoy!

We are always looking for volunteers to help with a variety of programs including: trash removal, native plant and tree planting, non-native/invasive plant removal, and meadow restorations.

AWS recognizes that volunteers truly are the backbone of this organization and that without them, our mission of cleaning up the Anacostia River would not be possible!
