Saturday:

Don't miss the spectacular Prince George's County Festival of Lights! This holiday drive-through event with more than one million twinkling lights includes more festival features like fun new displays, including Santa flying a helicopter and driving a fire truck.

Swing by Watkins Park from 5-9:30 p.m. Canned goods will be accepted nightly for donation to local food banks.

Admission:

$5/car or van; $10/multi-visit, transferable pass for car and vans (three visits); $15/mini-bus or limo; $25/bus.

Multi-visit passes on sale nightly at the gate

FREE! On Dec. 25.

Runners and walkers will don festive costumes and tie tiny bells to their shoelaces, as they raising funds for the Arthritis Foundation at the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis around Centennial Park, 10000 State Route 108, Ellicott City.

The run starts at 9:30 a.m. and registration is $30.

Watch Santa fly into the historic College Park Airport and then have your picture taken with him. Enjoy holiday arts and crafts in the museum, 1985 Corporal Frank Scott Dr, College Park, from noon to 4 p.m.

Admission is $4 adults, $3 seniors, and $2 ages 2-18. The event is free for children under age 2.

The nightly National Harbor lights show runs every half hour from sunset until 10 p.m. Many other festivities will be taking place in and around the harbor shops, hotels and eateries, including art projects for children, live music, free food samples, a kiddie train and the Seuss sculpture Garden.

Sunday

County executive-elect Rushern Baker has added Greenbelt to his inaugural schedule of events with a Sunday book drive and story time at Greenbelt Middle School, 8950 Edmonston Road, from 3-5 p.m.
