Congressman Van Hollen hosts Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Chris Van Hollen will host an Arts Celebration and Awards Reception to showcase artwork submitted for the 31st Annual Congressional Art Competition.  Each year, 90 of the hundreds of submited artworks are selected by jurors for inclusion in the exhibition. Congressman Van Hollen will use this event to highlight the exhibit, honor all participants and announce awards at VisArts on Monday, April 30th, 2012.  This competition is open to all high school students who live or attend school in the 8th Congressional District of Maryland. The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
