The 7th Annual Capitol Movement Project: Here and Now

Hot off a SOLD OUT 6th Annual Capitol Movement Project at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Capitol Movement Dance Company takes to the stage at the Sidney Harman Center for the Arts in their 7th season. With notes of depth, grace, strain, and struggle, dancers demonstrate astounding passion in their performance. Their motivation: the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The dance works travel into the real, often repugnant, roots of history, and weaves through to the here and now.  Premiere works include choreography by Laura Edwards, Brice Mousset, Adam Parson, Stephanie Jojokian and more. With a cast layered by diversity and dance works spreading from hip hop to modern, Capitol Movement Dance Company moves to pay homage to the late Dr. King.
