This is the last day of our Five Things You Need To Know ... for this week. There are some important things coming up next week and we would like you to know about them.

 

1. There's a City Council worksession on Monday evening but the time hasn't been posted yet. Agendas for these meetings are generally posted by 5 p.m. on the Friday before. Patch will be covering the meeting so if you miss it, check our Twitter feed () for real-time updates during the council's discussion. You can watch these meetings on cable channel 71 if you have Comcast or on channel 12 if you have Verizon.

2. On Wednesday there's going to be a This debate is open to all candidates and Flawn Williams will serve as moderator. The debate will be broadcast on the Comcast channel 71 or Verizon channel 12, within the city limits.

3. There's an exhibit called "DIVAS" opening reception at Zimstone Gallery at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The event will feature student poetry readings and Shona sculptures from female Zimbabwean artists. The exhibit highlights the work of Morgan Monceaux.

4. Friday night Shabbat at Beth Torah Congregation starts at 8 p.m., while Saturday morning Shabbat starts at 10 a.m.
