3. Firefighters blog "Firefighter Storytellers" did an interview with Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Emeritus Donald "Doc" Moltrup, including an overview of both his personal history and the last 40 years of the department.

4. The Hyattsville Preservation Association's membership drive is year round. New members are welcome. A "Contractor’s Card”offers benefits to dues paying members. You can print out a membership form online.

5. Feel like sporting some Hyattsville gear? You can buy polo shirts with the city's logo on them at city hall during normal business hours (M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Shirts in sizes large and XL cost $40. Sizes XXL and XXXL cost $45.
