About our crazy weather, a local concert and fresh food.

Looks to be a stormy, yet cooler day, Hyattsville. Check out what you need to know today:

  1. Do you have a burning question for Patch is interviewing him today and we might have some extra time to pitch him residents’ questions. No guarantees, but if you email me your question (sarahn@patch.com), I might be able to squeeze it in.
  2. Don’t forget about at Heurich Dog Park. Patch will have water, treats and other giveaways for both man and beast. Hope to see you there!
  3. The Riverdale Park Farmers Market is open from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the town center on Rhode Island Avenue. The market has over 30 vendors and also offers prepared food and drink.
  4. There’s a Concert Bands & Percussion Ensemble Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Bladensburg High School. Looks like DeMatha will take part.
  5. We could be in for some wicked weather today. Changing clouds and winds with strong thunderstorms are expected, according to the National Weather Service. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. There's a tornado watch effective until 3 p.m.
