Why Go: Attorneys will be available to answer questions and provide assistance to seniors who desire health care power of attorney, living wills and advance directives. Pre-registration is required to attend the clinics to be held at various senior centers in Greenbelt, Lanham, Hyattsville, Bowie, North Brentwood, Camp Springs and Seat Pleasant.

Why Go: Maryland Day is one great big festival on the sprawling University of Maryland Campus. During the festivities, the university is broken up into six specific types of activities: Science and Tech Way, Ag Day Avenue, Arts Alley, Sports and Rec Row, Biz and Society Hill and Terp Town Center.
Maryland sports fans can head over to Comcast Center for player and coach autographs or a football scrimmage. Pet animals at the campus farm, play instrumentsExplore college majors and financing options, talk to college deans. Be part of an archaeological dig or get blown away in a wind tunnel. Dining Services will be cooking up some of her best recipes and samples are free.

Why Go: Come meet Charlie and Toby the stars of dog columns on the and . Patch, along with the city of Hyattsville, The Riverdale Business Association. Mighty Healthy Pet and a number of other businesses are sponsoring this dog meet-and-greet event at Heurich Dog Park on Saturday, April 30.
We'll have treats for both owners and pets and information for owners about local dog-related businesses and on Patch, a local news website, dedicated to covering your community.
Cost: It's free for all guests— four paws or two feet.
Where/When: University Park Church of the Brethren / 3 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: John C. Mather, the 2006 Nobel Prize Winner in Physics, will open the Science in Your Neighborhood Series. Mather will talk about his student years and becoming a scientist. He will also describe the work for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize. There will be an informal Question and Answer time when students can get to know this illustrious neighbor and maybe even an autograph.

University Christian Church April Movie Night
Where/When: University Christian Church / 7 p.m. on Saturday
Why Go: A family oriented movie will be shown on a big screen and light snacks will be available for free at the church. The title of the movie cannot be printed because of the license.

Why Go: This is a youth praise and worship conference event featuring the musical talents of Trey Howard and also featuring gospel group Chosen Royalty.

Why Go: Annual celebration of the arts in Riverdale Park including local artists, vendors, musicians, food. There will also be workshops for making and playing musical instruments in collaboration with the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation.

Annual Spring Garden Tour and Plant Exchange
Where/When: / 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: The University Park Woman's Club's annual Spring Garden Tour will
feature 10 houses in our community. Maps will be available at the
