The List: Valentine's Day/Most Romantic Restaurants

  • LaFerme Restaurant in Chevy Chase is offering a Valentine’s Day dinner from 5 to 11 p.m.  The menu includes, among other fine French food, terrine of venison served with red cabbage and apple slaw served with toasted sourdough walnut bread … just to tempt your taste buds. At $68 per person, this is one you might need to save your pennies for. But the beautiful atmosphere and exquisite menu just might make it worth your while.
  • Looking for elegant but casual? Try out Bond 45 at National Harbor. On Valentine’s Day, dinner is served from 5 to 10 p.m. at this Italian seafood and steakhouse. The stunning views might only be eclipsed by the Roman mozzarella bar, cheese focaccia from Liguria, Pantondo and an antipasti bar. Meals start at $50.
  • Head on into Washington, D.C. to the 14K Restaurant & Lounge in the Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel. Their Valentine’s Day menu includes crab and avocado panna cotta or roasted parsnip soup, herb dusted sea scallops, liquid center chocolate cake and more. Add wine parings for a total of $64 per person. Care to add the Romance Package? Bring your Valentine to the hotel and enjoy a romantic Valentine's dinner at 14K restaurant and a deluxe guest room upstairs to continue your evening.   • A la Lucia in Old Town Alexandria features homemade Italian food and wine. On Valentine’s Day they will be serving a special three-course dinner for $31.95 per person along with a la carte items.
  • Assaggi Mozzarella Bar in Bethesda is offering a special Valentine’s Day dinner of tuna tartare, poached Maine lobster salad, braised veal cheeks and Mediterranean Sea bass fillet to name a few items on the menu. They’re open from 4 to 10 p.m. and you probably want to call ahead for reservations.
