Post Office Offers Commemorative Greeting Cards

Just in time for Sept. 11, the U.S. Postal Service is offering patriotism themed greeting cards.

Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes feature photos of Americana with quips about liberty.

There are eight different cards in this collection. Each one is $2.95.

Here in town, you can pick them up at

• Hyattsville's on Gallatin Street;
• Prince George's Plaza's post office; and
• West Hyattsville's Queens Chapel Town Center.

“Americans tend to live very busy lives,” stated USPS Capital District Manager Kelvin Williams in a press release. “But sometimes we just have to stop and take a few moments to thank the everyday heroes who make this nation great.”
