Bob's Discount Furniture Opens Doors in Hyattsville

The new store brings 80 new jobs to Hyattsville.

Bob’s Discount Furniture flings wide its doors at 9:45 a.m. May 26 at adjacent to the Prince George’s Plaza Metro station.

Festivities include ribbon-cutting ceremonies, balloon sculpting, face painting and jazz music performances, which will run throughout the weekend. 

Cathy Poulin, director of public relations and TV personality for Bob’s Discount Furniture will be on hand with former by donating $10,000 on behalf of the Bob’s Outreach program to six local schools:

This store, along with a new store in Falls Church, VA, will bring about 120 new jobs to the area.

“The Hyattsville team, consisting of 80 new employees from the surrounding area, is looking forward to bringing great selection and value to Hyattsville,” said Diane Peacor, Hyattsville store manager. “We are just thrilled to be part of Bob’s Discount Furniture’s entrance to the mid-Atlantic.”
