At Fitness Evolution, it will cost you $10 to join, $10 per month and a $35 annual fee to work out at a brand new facility with 100 cardiovascular machines. Its operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.

Sergio Esmeral travels from Washington, D.C. to Hyattsville three days a week for his Fitness Evolution workouts. "[It's] pretty affordable and has everything I need," he said.

Bally Total Fitness offers national access to all its sights for $24.99 per month. There are no long-term contracts required for either gym. The Bally Total Fitness membership includes a pool, sauna and fitness classes. Its hours of operation are 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.

For a trip off the more traditional path of exercise, It offers a $120 12-week session with the next available session starting on April 4.

With multiple instructors, there are a number of styles of yoga offered including Hatha, Vinyasa, Anusara, Prenatal and Apadaptive. Also, feel free to drop-in on any one class for $15 if space is available. Many participants are Hyattsville locals so it’s also a great way to meet neighbors.

Douglas Thompson is the Yoga Space studio owner. He said his business receive a lot of comments about how clean the studio is.

"[We] take a lot of time to keep it nice and clean," he said.

Queens Chapel Shopping Center offers A one-year contract runs $49 per month with a membership fee that varies based on weekly promotions. For seniors over the age of 65, it’s $39 per month. Its staffed hours are 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday.
