Where/When: Bladensburg Waterfront Park from noon to 12:45 p.m.

Where/When: 8001 Sheriff Road, Landover (Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex) on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Take an African dance class or stop by for workshops, performances and storytellers. Vendors will be selling a variety of reasonably priced items.

Where/When: 716 Bestgate Road, Annapolis (Annapolis Area Christian School) on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Don't miss this one-day only free event designed to provide parents with a wide range of summer camp options, including University of Maryland camps in College Park, Bowie Baysox baseball camp, sailing camp in Pasadena, kids spy camp in Washington and many more.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: 4700 Rhode Island Ave., Hyattsville () on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: Pick Up America and its groups will focus primarily on the branch/stream itself near West Hyattsville Metro (about mile 1.5 on the NW Branch Bike Trail). The Mount Rainier Bike Co-op will focus on the other end by cleaning up the hiker-biker trail itself (mile 0 on the NW Branch Trail). Please dress appropriately (plastic bags and gloves will be provided upon request).

Where/When: 4811 Riverdale Rd, Riverdale (Riversdale House Museum) on Sunday at noon.

Why Go: The Riversdale Kitchen Guild demonstrates foodways of 19th century enslaved Afro-Marylanders, including recipes that would have been popular among Riversdale's Plummer family.
