Hyattsville CDC Launches Local Dining Guide

New resource for local foodies launches.

Hyattsville foodies have a new resource to turn to when in search of a tasty morsel.

Yesterday, the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation launched the Hyattsville Dining Guide. It's a new website which highlights the more than 60 restaurants which call Hyattsville home.

The site is split into three sections, one for each of the commercial hubs within Hyattsville; Baltimore Avenue, West Hyattsville and Magruder Park corridor and the Prince George's Plaza area. Each listing on the website contains basic information (address, phone number and such), as well as links to the establishment's Patch directory, Yelp page and restaurant website.

There's also a printable PDF version which might go nicely on the refrigerator as a reference for those nights when you're feeling up for a bit of take-out.

Great Idea - nice to have a list. But, bad decision to have referral links which do not work. I use Firefox for my prime browser - v 14.0.1 on a windows system, and here is one example of the non-functionality using Firefox : when one clicks on the link icon for Busboys and Poets, here is the link address which is created: I'm spelling it out due to apparent Patch edits on some characters or a web address: the letters ht then t and p then a colon, then 2 each backslashes, then the phrase bus boys and poets with no spaces, then a period followed by the letters com followed by a percent sign then the numeral zero and the letter lowercase a, and then a backslash. and here is what happens with that type of link: Firefox can't find the server at (then the words bus boys and poets) dot com percent sign the zero and an a . Internet Explorer gives the following error message: The address is not valid From a quick examination, there are a huge number of such alphas dot com percent sign 0a links on the web page. Not ready for prime time yet. As a courtesy to Patch readers, Please deactivate all non-functioning site referral links. Thanks
