Call For Artists - Art in Action

Who: The artdc Gallery
What: Call for artists; interactive, kinetic, performance, multimedia, sculpture, graffiti, digital media, mixed media and more. 
Where: 5710 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville, MD 20781

Exhibition dates: 7-28-13 to 8-25-13
Reception and Performances: Saturday: 8-03-13, 7 to 10pm

-The Call-
Open to all artists.
The installation will consist of: interactive, reactive and performance art. 
The exhibit will be divided in to two parts.  On Sunday July, 28th artists will install finished/prepared artwork and supplies for performances (if applicable).  The following Saturday August 8th during the reception, artists will conduct art performances, demonstrate kinetic and interactive pieces, display digital media and create art on site.
Art Criteria: (must contain at least one of the following aspects)
1.  Can be manipulated by the viewer 
2.  Kinetic - interactive/runs its self 
3.  Multimedia 
4.  Film
5.  Digital Media
6.  Performance art
7.  Creation of artwork on site (any medium)
8.  Pieces for the public to participate in creating
9.  A “hands on” approach to the art display

The deadline is Wednesday, July 24th 5PM.
Accepted artists will be notified by Thursday, July 25th.
Install is Sunday, July 28th 12:30PM.

Grayson Heck and Ric Garcia will jury the work.
We are very open to ideas and mediums. Please have fun being creative!
