Over 35 people attended HAP’s first training of Volunteers in November. If you were there, you likely felt the excitement of being part of something new that promises to fill a gap for Hyattsville seniors who need a helping hand.
A workshop on Saturday, January 26, from 9am to Noon in the Municipal Building will continue and build on that initial training.
It's going to be a fully-packed program: Jean Cook, president of Old Greenbelt’s all-volunteer program, will share stories and insights; we’ll role-play possible scenarios; there’ll be time for you to ask questions; you’ll meet fellow Volunteers.
By the conclusion of this workshop, participants who have completed the application packet and a background check will leave with their handbook and ID!!
If you were unable to attend the November workshop, you definitely want to get to the upcoming one. Contact me for an application packet; I'll bring it to you.
I hope to see you on Saturday, January26th!

PS: I bet you know someone who would should be part of this effort. Please invite them to join us!
