Lesole's Dance Project in "Freedom of Expression"

Saturday, January 18th @ 8pm
Sunday, January 19th @ 4pm
$20 General Admission, $15 Students, Seniors & Artists, $10 Youth
Lesole’s Dance Project will honor Dr. Martin Luther King jr. in a full evening length performance featuring traditional and contemporary South African dance and music as well as works based in the Americam Modern dance tradition.

LDP will also present “3 Dimensions”, a new work that includes audience participation. Works such as Khoba (a traditional dance from Botswana made possible by Maryland State Arts Council), and Gumboots (a high-energy percussive dance born in the mines of South Africa) will also be featured.

Lastly, in observation of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Lesole’s Dance Project will be holding a canned food drive during both performances.  All donations will benefit the Coalition for the Homeless Family Shelters. Donors will receive a voucher for a single dance or drumming class at Lesole’s Dance Project (limit 1 per person).
