Congregations United for Compassion & Empowerment Community-Wide Prayer Vigil to End Violence in Prince George's County

Congregations United for Compassion & Empowerment (CUCE) invites you to attend a Community-Wide Prayer Vigil to End Violence in Prince George’s County (Prayer Vigil) on September 7, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. This Prayer Vigil will be held at First United Methodist Church on the front lawn located at 6201 Belcrest Road (Belcrest & Queensbury Roads); Hyattsville, MD 20782.

CUCE requests that you become a voice as we raise one voice in anguish and prayer. CUCE believes that prayer is the force behind our courage and hope for this Prayer Vigil; “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from  their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” 2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV.

CUCE believes in the power of prayer. For additional information on this Prayer Vigil, please call the First United Methodist Church’s office on 301-927-6133

CUCE is an ecumenical ministry consisting of eighteen local member congregations. CUCE helps individuals and families overcome barriers and get on their feet again.
