The Hyattsville Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (HES PTA) will be collecting food donations as part of our 2012 Food Drive to benefit the local food pantry at Crossover Church. The food pantry serves our local community, including children from all Hyattsville-area schools. Food pantry supplies are low, and the need is high. Please donate as you are able. Collection boxes will be in the school entry foyer March 19–30.
Especially needed are canned vegetables (corn, green beans, greens, peas), mashed potatoes, spaghetti sauce and noodles, ravioli, Hamburger Helper, and soup. (Please, only canned and dry good food items can be accepted.)
Last year, the families of Hyattsville Elementary School generously donated more than 900 pounds of food to the pantries serving our friends and neighbors. This year, we hope to meet or surpass that high goal. Thank you.
