Sandy overlooked Hyattsville but devastated much of New York and New Jersey
All our sympathies go out to those who suffered the worst effects of Sandy these past few days. Luckily, the Hyattsville community seems to have been overlooked by the storm. Yet, it's impossible to ignore the substantial damage done to New York, New Jersey, and parts of southern Virginia.
It is amazing how powerful wind and water can be when combined. Hopefully, for those with flooded houses, damaged cars, and/or no power, the return to normalcy will be swift and satisfactory.
