Hyattsville Vol. Fire Dept. members raising money for childhood cancer

Hyattsville firefighters making a difference and raising money for childhood cancer research through the St. Baldrick's foundation.

St. Baldricks, one of the largest head shaving events. The foundation was created to allow people a fun and exciting way to raise money for childhood cancer research. Participants grow their hair out for months and raise money doing it. On event day, the participants have their head shaved to finalize all the money raised. Thats what the Hyattsville Vol. Fire Department is doing for the second year in a row.

Through all the hard work put in and with such a great member oriented department we accepted the challenge. All we need to make this event even bigger and better is the support from the communty to help us out and make our team stronger and raise the most money. There are eight teams in this years event and we want to come out on top. To donate is easy, either online or in person at the firehouse at 6200 Belcrest Rd, and you will help us make a difference.

The website to our team is https://www.stbaldricks.org and search for Hyattsville Fire Department. The event is taking place in College Park on March 9th, we hope to see you all there. We are doing our part to make a difference and hope you can too!
