40 Under 40 Features Familiar Faces

A half-dozen Hyattsville residents (and a few who live nearby) were recognized as among the 40 most influential young people in the county.

It was standing room only at Hyattsville's Howard Zinn room earlier this week as the Prince George's County Social Innovation Fund honored 40 young people, all under the age of 40, who organizers say are making a difference in the county. It was all a part of the inaugural "Forty Under 40" awards.

The honorees were chosen by a panel of representatives from the Community Foundation for Prince George's County, EnVision Prince George's and the Human Services Coalition of Prince George's County.

This photo gallery, courtesy of the Prince George's Social Innovation Fund, shows those honorees from Hyattsville, Edmosnton and Mount Rainier.

The full list can be found here.

Yeah. It seems as if some old stories, particularly ones recently posted, did not migrate over toRead More the new site, yet. Our help desk is working on this problem, and we hope to have a resolution before long.
