Accident on East West Highway Leaves Four Seriously Injured

One person is in critical condition, and three are in serious condition after the crash.

One person is in critical condition and three others are in serous condition after a two-car accident in Hyattsville early Saturday morning.

The accident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. on the 3300 block of East West Highway near Prince George’s Plaza Shopping Center.

According to police, a red Camry was traveling westbound on East West Highway at a high rate of speed when it collided with a gray Honda as it was turning left onto Toledo Terrace. The collision resulted in two people being trapped in the two vehicles.

Firefighters from Hyattsville Fire Department responded to the accident and worked quickly to free an adult male from the Camry and an adult female from the Honda.

The adult male and his passenger, an adult female, were transported to a local hospital in serious condition along with an adult male from the gray Honda.

The driver of the gray Honda, an adult female, was transported to a local trauma center in serious condition.

Hyattsville Police are investigating the accident.
