College Park Native Named Deputy Fire Chief In Prince George's County
Neal B. Dennis, a 22-year veteran of the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department and a Bowie resident, will serve as deputy director under Chief Marc Bashoor.
Neal B. Dennis, a 22-year veteran of the Pwill be the deputy director of the department under Chief Marc Bashoor.
Effective Oct. 10, Dennis will become the lieutenant colonel in charge of the Emergency Operation Command, overseeing 90 percent of the Fire/EMS Department’s personnel and resources that respond to emergency and non-emergency service calls, according to a fire department statement.
Formerly a major in charge of the department’s professional standards, Dennis started with the Fire/EMS Department in October 1989 as a recruit firefighter.
He is originally from College Park and now lives in Bowie with his wife and three children.
