Fugitive Fridays: In the Slammer

Prince George's County Police have charged two men in connection with an Oct. 25 homicide in Mount Rainier.

Police have charged Lorenzo Carlton, 21 of Silver Spring and Michael Jordan, 18 of Washington, D.C. in connection with the Oct. 25 homicide of Alonzo James Guyton in Mount Rainier.

  • In Connection With: The homicide of Alonzo James Guyton.

  • Motive: Police believe the motive in this case was robbery.
  • Details: On Oct. 25 about 12:02 a.m., Mount Rainier Police officers responded to the 4200 block of Kaywood Drive for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Guyton suffering from gunshot wounds to his body.  He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.  
  • The Latest: Carlton was arrested on Nov. 2. He is being held at the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without bond.  Jordan is in the D.C. Jail on an unrelated charge. His extradition to Prince George’s County is pending.
