Fugitive Fridays: Prince George's County Police Seek Help Locating Attempted Robbery Suspect

Police aren't sure who they are looking for, but a description of the incident and suspect are below.

Prince George's County Police are seeking help finding a suspect in connection with a July attempted robbery of a Bowie credit union.

 

  • Wanted For: Attempted robbery
  • In Connection With: A July 20, 2011 attempted robbery of the Educational System Federal Credit Union at the 4800 block of Glenn Dale Road in Bowie.
  • Description: The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a white shirt around his face, a black long-sleeve shirt and dark colored pants.
  • Details: According to a Washington Examiner report, a masked man walked into the credit union, pulled out an assault weapon and announced a robbery, police said. Police set up a perimeter, and officers with a K-9 unit began a canvass of the area, but did not find the robber. However, they did recover the weapon, the Examiner report stated.
