Hamilton Street Closure Set for Hyattsville Night Out
Street to be closed between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. today.
Hamilton Street will be closed from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. today between Queens Chapel and Ager roads as the city of Hyattsville gets ready to host the city's National Night Out Against Crime tonight.
This is the first year Hyattsville's National Night Out event will be hosted on Hamilton Street. The move was motivated in part by a desire by the Hyattsville City Council to keep a major municipal event on the west side of the city in the wake of the demise of the International Festival and the poorly attended Handmade on Hamilton Street craft fair.
Hyattsville's National Night Out Against Crime begins at 5 p.m. tonight.
