Hyattsville Police Open Doors to Summer Jam

Officers were on hand to provide training techniques, simulators and tours.

The City of Hyattsville said goodbye to summer with a jam. The Summer Jam that is. But food, music and friends weren't the only sites to be seen Friday night. The Hyattsville Police Department had it's annual open house, giving tours to the community and offering a little training as well.  Patch got in on the action and tried out the training our local heroes go through every year, and Hyattsville Patch Editor Sarah Nemeth even tried the seat belt convincer, provided by the Maryland State Police.
